We’re hiring Academic Counsellors (freshers) in Belagavi to work on the upGrad program — one of India’s most trusted names in career-focused higher education and upskilling. You’ll be on ATIL’s payroll, working the upGrad program day to day: speaking to learners, understanding their goals, and guiding them to the right course.
No prior experience is needed. What you do need is a genuine ability to connect with people, listen well, and explain things clearly. We’ll train you on everything else — the programs, the counselling method, and the tools.

What you’ll actually do
You won’t be cold-calling strangers. ATIL runs the lead-generation campaigns, so you’ll speak to people who have already shown interest in upgrading their careers. Your job is to help them decide well and enrol. Day to day, that means:
- Calling and counselling warm leads — learners who filled a form or asked about an upGrad program
- Understanding each learner’s goal — their background, career stage, and what they want to achieve
- Recommending the right program honestly, and explaining fees, structure, outcomes, and financing options clearly
- Following up consistently — most decisions take a few conversations, so timely, caring follow-up is the whole game
- Driving enrolments and hitting monthly targets, with support from your team lead
- Keeping the CRM updated so every learner’s journey is tracked
Who we’re looking for
- Any graduate — freshers from 2024/2025/2026 are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and Kannada (or a strong mix) — you can build trust on a call
- A warm, patient, people-first attitude — you genuinely want to help, not just close
- Basic comfort with a computer — email, a CRM, simple data entry
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Belagavi for an on-site role
- Hungry to build a career in counselling, sales, or edtech
Nice to have (not required)
- Any internship or part-time experience in sales, tele-calling, customer support, or teaching
- Exposure to edtech, coaching institutes, or education
- Comfort switching between languages on a call
