Every site above was optimized using the same reproducible playbook — no redesign, no plugin removal, no content changes. Just surgical configuration across four layers:
1. WebP image pipeline
PHP-GD converts every PNG/JPG over 80 KB to WebP at Q92 (near-lossless). Average 80% size reduction. Originals preserved on disk — served via .htaccess fallback to old browsers.
2. ATIL Site Optimizer plugin
Our WordPress plugin sets 30+ correct defaults across Elementor experiments, LiteSpeed Cache, Astra theme, and WordPress core — the settings agency builds usually leave at defaults.
3. YouTube lazy-load
Every <iframe> YouTube embed is replaced at render time with a click-to-play thumbnail. Saves ~1 MB of YouTube player JS per embed on mobile.
4. Cache layer coordination
LiteSpeed Cache handles minify + defer + browser cache. WP-Optimize page cache stays on for HTML. No two plugins fight each other.
